Today's Tiki Huts represent ancient architecture and construction practiced for thousands of years by natives using ecological methods that protected the lands that fed them. For us at ITH, we feel we have a responsibility to recognize and represent methods that protect our resources for our children's generations and beyond. Island Tiki Huts' goal is to create in unison with the client not just a structure, but an entire outdoor environment. We call it a "resort in your garden". A retreat from work and stress where you can escape and feel like you are thousands of miles away on your own deserted island.

Brook Lang After studying design at Parsons, Brook spent the last 12 years working in design and advertising on every continent. Brook's choice in destinations has and will always be based on both quality of life and quality of surf - he is a definite lover of the tiki lifestyle. Through these experiences Brook has become a firm believer in Modernism and efficient design that still maintains a natural and organic feel. Through Running Brook Designs he has done just that. The center piece of our projects are the "Tiki Huts", but these are not your grand-father's Mai-Tai and deviled eggs bamboo bar (although we would be glad to build you one). These are beautiful structures inspired by Polynesian, Balinese, Thai, African and even Morrocan traditional designs. During our consulattion with our clients, we review inspiration books and determine exactly what the client is looking for. We then develop a design based on site plans and create a 3-D rendering and walk-thru as well as present a selection of materials for the project. We also develop landscaping, water features and decorating ideas with the client. Our full service interior decorating staff can source just about anything - from Indonesian tribal masks to the latest state-of-the-art entertainment systems.
